It's hotter all over the country, through most of the year in many states. California being one of them, which is where your package originates.

Trucks that haul packages across country, as well as local mail carrier vehicles get over 100 degrees at times and although chocolate is mostly stable in high heat, items may dry out. The only time chocolate melted upon receipt is because the customer left the box on the porch, in the hot sun for hours. If you wish to pay for next day delivery, I'm happy to do that.
